Pinoy vlogging is here

I first heard about vlogging in 2005 while attending a conference in Toronto. Today, its an idea whose time has come in the Philippines.

Cellphone-crazy Pinoys, especially those with fabulous built-in cameras should be invited to vlog and they could easily learn at CokskiBlue whose owner is perhaps the guru, the trailblazer and inspiration for Pinoy vlogging. (In an annual blog awards, CokskiBlue will surely be a run-away winner. For that, I would nominate him as the next guest of Bloggers Kapihan to speak on “vlogging the Philippines”. I hope he’s eager to speak to the BK crew and crowd.)

For those of you who find writing too challenging and express themselves more smoothly through videos, vlogging is for you. I already have some friends in mind like Bambam and Niño who may dig this form of blogging and may start as soon as they read this blog post and the blog I’m featuring.

(Instant vlogging through mobile phone is not impossible. But we do hope Smart, Globe and Sun offer more attractive rates for 3G and GPRS access. The lower, the better. Otherwise, most people will wait to upload their vlog entries from their cam-phones to their desktop computers and later to their vlogs using broadband access. No sales whatsoever for greedy mobile telcos.)

To spur interest in vlogging and as part of the blog’s launch, CokskiBlue is sponsoring a contest with details below:
