My blog went offline for nearly a week, no thanks to a server hiccup on the part of my new webhost. Unfortunately, the hiccup was so serious — twas more of a seizure — that I had to restore from an old backup dated June 16, and then recompose all the newer posts from that date.

I really thought that I forever lost my blog and that I would not be able to bring it back to life.

Lessons learned: Daily backups! Study WordPress! Follow instructions!
