Recommended readings: ‘Visualizing’ the US credit crisis

Many have tried to read the FAQs but I am certain that a number still fail to understand the highly-technical terms.

How about if we try to visualize what has happened/what is happening?

Go now to information aesthetics for a good start in finding a number of such visualizations of the credit crisis and economic meltdown. Trust me, the text of the reports and analyses we’ve seen will be made more interesting once you view the visualizations.

Thanks to iandexter for the heads up and kudos for reaching this milestone.

Update: The European Union may be a misnomer in the face the global repercussions of the US crisis. EU leaders have chosen not to unite — and instead will act individually — just in case bailouts may be needed by Europe’s banks.  (This means that the global capitalists will again turn “nationalist” even as they preach globalization. National governments will always move to protect their “national” banks.) As of now, Germany’s second-largest lender is veering towards ruin and seeks a 35-billion Euro bailout.
