Hacker hits GMA7’s website

A hacker successfully penetrated the website of broadcast giant GMA Network  in an apparent move to express support for a Filipino songwriter’s protest over intellectual property issues against the company’s corporate social responsibility arm.

The hacked page, which is still up at http://www.igma.tv/profile/gary-granada as of posting time as shown in this screen grab, includes this message:

A-drive, B-Drive, CDROM, HTTP, and Eprom, Queues and Stacks, Unix FAQs, RTFM, PCs, Macs. And I know all my ASCII, Next time please @echo with me. —————————- greetz to all frustrated filipino white hat hackers out there!

The hacker put a link to a podcast purportedly by veteran songwriter and artist Gary Granada where he alleged to have been victimized by intellectual property violations by GMA Kapuso Foundation.

Thanks to Gab for the heads up over at Plurk.
