Have you seen Randy?

Please help find Randy Felix P. Malayao (shown in the picture here), former vice president for Visayas (1991-1994) of the College Editors Guild of the Philippines and former editor in chief of Mangingisda, official student paper at UP Visayas.

Suspected military elements purportedly kidnapped Randy last May 15, at around 9:00 pm after he took a cab ride from Megamall to Rosario, Pasig.

Read here the statement of the NDF in Cagayan Valley. Prior to his abduction, Randy was an NDF political consultant in that area, and helped the people of Cagayan Valley in some of their stellar political victories.

Randy may be a communist, but he does not deserve to be treated like an animal. Those who took him and their bosses must surface him now.

Nabalitaan ko nga na dinukot si Randy….hindi nga ako mapakali noong narinig at nabasa ko ang balita dahil iisang Randy lang ang nakilala ko sa Guild simula ng naging aktibo ako at nag-FT with Gemlee Carillo, still remember her? Talagang lalo pang bumabangis ang terorismo ng Estado. Dito nga sa Davao, sa Southern Mindanao Region, noong 15 May 2008, may pinatay na lider magsasaka, si Celso Pojas, spokesperson ng KMP-SMR. After the incident, palala ng palala na ang surveillance sa mga mass leaders dito.

    Btw, kumusta nga pala? Long time no hear na no? Miss ko na rin ang Guild, lalo na mga ka-batch ko. Nasa environmental movement na ako ngayon after Bayan as SecGen for Southern Mindanao last 2006. May kampanya kami ngayon laban sa militarisasyon at development aggression (mining at pesticides-dependent monocrop plantations expansion) sa Compostela Valley Province at Davao Oriental. We are also assisting the evacuees-victims of militarization and military abuses who are mostly Lumads, forest people. Sana ma-amplify ninyo rin ang isyu dyan sa national para ma-pressure natin ang gobyerno to pull-out military deployments at stop all mining applications and plantations expansions in Key Biodiversity Areas (KBA) in ComVal and Dav Or.
