The Japanese government has formally appointed Doraemon as anime ambassador, said the country’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA).

Foreign Minister Masahiro Koumura personally furnished Doraemon his official appointment papers on March 19.

Nobita Nobi accompanied Doraemon in the ceremonies.
