Inquirer reports that US airport authorities detained one of the US government’s invited guests — the first Muslim member of the British cabinet — and searched his luggage searched for explosives:
International Development Minister Shahid Malik was detained for about 40 minutes at Washington Dulles airport Sunday by the Department of Homeland Security after meeting officials from the same department to discuss terrorism.
Last week, US news outlets publicized a US terrorist watchlist with 750,000 names!
Earlier this year, long-time US resident Ninotchka Rosca, a Filipino-American professor and a US citizen were stopped by Philippine airport authorities from leaving due to the Arroyo government’s own watchlist. An airport official told the three feminists they were suspected of having links with the Taleban!
Something’s really wrong with the so-called “war on terror” when such things happen.
