iBlog5 5th Philippine Blogging Summit at UP Diliman

Hundreds trooped to the University of the Philippines on Saturday for the iBlog5 5th Philippine Blogging Summit, including my old and new friends friends in the Philippine blogosphere.

Cebu Bloggers Society members led by Kevin Ray Chua himself also came to join the fun. Although mostly young ones, a considerable number of attendees were “once young” bloggers also made their presence felt.

Tag teams Micaela Rodriguez and AJ Matela, Faith Salazar and Fritz Tentativa, and Azrael Coladilla and Kring Elenzano tag-teamed on topics Blogging 101, Photo Blogging 102, and Vlogging, respectively.

Other topics were Blog Promotion & Traffic Generation Strategies 101 (Winston Almendras and Coy Caballes), Mobile Blogging 101 (Edwin “Ka Edong” Soriano), Do’s and Don’ts of Blogging (Benj Espina and Juned Soriano), Legal Issues in Blogging (Atty. JJ Disini), Preparing Bloggers for 2010 Elections (Comelec spokesman James Jimenez), Bloggers Election Handbook Project (Janette Toral), Blog Marketing and Advertising Experiences in the Philippines (Mannix Pabalan of AyosDito.ph, Lazslo Lim of Yehey!, Kristine Mandigma of Philippine Online Chronicles, Jayvee Fernandez of BlogBank and Eric Ramirez of Nuffnang) and Blogging to the Next Level (Fitz Villafuerte and Anton Diaz).
