The government of Gloria Macapagal Arroyo through factotums Eduardo Ermita and Raul Gonzalez have confirmed once and for all that the administration is really behind the harassment cases against Bayan Muna Representative Satur Ocampo.

It was Ermita himself who announced yesterday that 14 individual murder cases have been filed against Ka Satur.

Ermita is so confident that the dirty tricks on Ocampo will soon land in jail again.

For his part, Gonzalez says that Ocampo allegedly received extra special treatment from the Supreme Court — as if there was something wrong in filing a petition for certiorari and as if we have no constitutional right to bail when charged with a weak case.

Natapos ang pagpapanggap soon after the Supreme Court provided Ocampo temporary relief on April 3, ordering his release upon payment of a P100,000 cash bond.

Before this, the Palace was playing coy on questions that the administration, and not the purported purge victims, is the real party of interest in the case against Ocampo. After weeks of denial, it would be Ermita himself, Mrs. Arroyo’s most trusted henchman and alter-ego, who can’t stop himself from admitting that it is this government’s handiwork all the while.
