The netbook market is getting more interesting.
In an email blast sent to subscribers, Dell today announced Mini 9, a 2.28 lbs mini notebook with an 8.9″ screen and in two colors: black and white. Price starts at $349 (around P16,000).
The basic version is powered by Ubuntu MID Edition 8.04, perhaps a version of Ubuntu tailor-fit for the Mini 9’s specs of Intel® Atom Processor® N270 (1.6GHz/533Mhz FSB/512K cache), Glossy 8.9 inch LED display (1024X600), 512MB DDR2 memory at 533MHz, 4GB Solid State Drive, Intel Graphics Media Accelerator (GMA) 950, WIFI, 40-cell battery,
Another option is Windows XP, but it will jack up the price.
